    Wow, you both are tenacious. It has been great reading the since January, and I can only imagine the adreline rush to get it ready by early next year. Good luck, keep posting.

    hmmm…..looks familiar :) I bought an old sailboat about a year and a half ago planning to fix it up and go cruising, I’ve been working on my deck since July — so no blog posts, but it was great to see yours. My girlfriend Lara and I (http://www.laraneeceart.com) got a good laugh out of the sanding the deck video (two or three weekend job…I told her the same thing) and the fact that november is a shitty time to do anything. We just put our non-skid down (no….no pattern) and the it rained all day today.

    We’re supposed to be leaving (also mexico bound but east coast) but I just discovered my engine is seized and I’ll be spending the next month becoming a diesel mechanic. So know that someone else is out there going through the same stuff you are :)

    brian, thanks for your note, it’s good (and surprisingly rare) to hear that someone else is out there having similar experiences. keep in touch, I would enjoy hearing more about your own situation (what engine, and what are you going to do about it), and the drama in our situation just keeps on building (explosion point nearing)
