I'm sure things will improve quickly, and once you've left the dock it will all be worth it. I've been tracking the Syzygy saga for about 1.5 years now (my wife and I are also contemplating a couple of years of cruising with our boys) and your journey-before-the-journey has been fascinating. I've learned a lot from your experiences and I really appreciate you sharing them. Your Herculean efforts to repair and fit-out the boat provide a nice sense of perspective when I start to feel that my little 16 foot dinghy is a lot of work. :) By the way, there is a band here in Seattle called Mars Accelerator that has a song titled "You/Me Syzygy" on their album "Clouds for Your Y-Axis".
