-----Current Location-----
We have three ways to track us, three maps, that you will find below.
1) POST LOCATIONS: Each post is tagged with a location, this is the “Post Locations” map below and in the sidebar.
2) SPOT TRACKING: The SPOT tracker is a satellite-linked jobby that puts a pin on the map for us whenever we press the button–which we do about once a day. This map is also both below and in the sidebar.
3) AIS: is a live tracking system that we use onboard to track othedr ships. This map is on a different website, marinetraffic.com, and there is a link to it in our sidebar. It is largely a safety system for our own onboard use, but occasionally stations on land pick up our signal and display our live location. There are a number of websites that collect and display this tracking data; marinetraffic.com is only one of them. We will only infrequently show up on the AIS while in the US, so don’t be alarmed if we drop off of this map. AIS is relatively new. They are working on building a worldwide system of ground stations, but it will probably take a few years.

I grew up on the farm next to where you grew up that became a Nursery. I worked for your Grandfather Joe when I was in grade/high school. The first day your dad (David, I think he is your dad), but I was on the bus for Cathryn and Georges first day as well. Have sailed from the Gulf of Maine, Bahamas, and S.W. Florida back in the 1990′s, logged about 9,000 miles, not much compared to your plan. Had a Beneteau 40cc and most of the sailing was single handed. I am sure you have read Joshua Slocum’s Sailing Alonge around the World. He left Fairhaven, Mass. 1895. Great read ! Good Sailing and Sail On !!!!
